8 DAYS - HANDS ON TRAINING IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING FOR PRIMARY TEACHER
Teaching of English at the primary level is a worldwide phenomenon.. Department of Education, U.T of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu decided to introduce English in Class I. In preparedness of teachers for teaching English at primary level in Government schools an eight day ‘Hands on Training in English Language Teaching’ has been conducted by DIET, Daman from 6-12-21 to 21-12-21 for producing better equipped teachers of English for primary classes. DIET, Resource Group involved in the process of preparing ‘English Language Enrichment module’.
The inaugural program of 8 days Hands on Training In English Language Teaching for Primary Teachers of the Daman batch was held on 3-12-21 at Model School Daman. DIET Principal Mr. Indravadan Patel delivered the inaugural address. The inaugural program for the DNH batch was held on 6-12-21 at C.P.S Zanda Chowk, Silvassa. The respected dignitaries Mr. Paritosh Shukla, Assistant Director of Education (Academics) delivered the inaugural address. Mr. Balwant Patil, Educational Officer (Administration), felicitated the function. The training program throws insightful lights on various areas Techniques of Teaching English ,Teaching Listening ,Teaching Speaking, Teaching Reading ,Teaching Writing ,Art of Questioning for Comprehensible Learning, Constructive Pedagogical English Teaching ,Micro Teaching ,Language Games, Preparation and use of TLM of English Language Teaching and provides hands on experience to all the participant teachers in transacting English in primary classes. Shri. Paritosh Shukla, Assistant Director of Education, Academics, acted as the chief guest of valedictory program and delivered the valedictory address.
